June 2020: Undercarriage Restoration
Turning the 2000c on its side has been the one big event I was excited to tackle. This is why I purchased the rotisserie. My few past restorations on other cars (BMW 2002s) were limited at best when cleaning up and working on the under carriage.
My goal with this phase of the restoration is to clean up all the rust, fabricate new metal as needed and finally to seal the under carriage with epoxy primer and then a tinted undercoating much like the BMW factory applied in the 1970s onward.
